Kamehameha Schools, Hawaii Campus is looking for an experienced High School Math Teacher to teach a variety of math classes from Algebra to Calculus. This is a 2‑year Defined Term position with potential conversion to a full‑time regular role, starting July 30, 2026.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (advanced degree or HI state certification in math a plus).
- 3+ years of experience teaching high school math.
- Cultural competencies: ability to incorporate cultural concepts (‘ike Hawaii) into instruction.
- Experience with Competency‑Based Learning a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree from a nationally or internationally accredited college or university.
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to primary instructional responsibilities.
- Master’s or doctoral degree in the primary instructional area.
- Recent experience or coursework in differentiated instruction, project‑based learning, or personalized learning.
- Experience integrating technology into the classroom.
- 5 or more years of instruction in the primary area(s).
- Experience teaching at the applicable grade level(s).
- Knowledge or appreciation of athletics and performing arts or ability to coach or support student activities.
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to social justice, global issues, sustainability, Hawaiian language, history, culture, and Christian values.
- Thorough knowledge of the subject area(s) to be taught and ability to develop interdisciplinary curriculum.
- Knowledge of age‑appropriate instructional methods for assigned grade levels.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with students and families.
- Ability to differentiate and personalize instruction to meet varying student needs.
- Manage both small and large groups in various instructional settings.
- Effective communication with students, parents, counselors, and administrators.
- Build and maintain effective collaborative relationships with colleagues and administrators.
- Organize tasks and manage time to meet diverse deadlines.

Annual salary range: $61,111.00 – $. Placement within this range is based on work year, highest degree earned and verified experience.
