NUWCDIVKPT Detachment Pacific provides program management, site operations, safety, security, personnel, facilities, environmental, and administrative support across the Middle and Western Pacific. The Detachment oversees on-site operations, coordinates with local installation leadership, and ensures compliance with Navy policies, regulations, and management controls. It supports the Hawaii Fleet Test and Operational Assessment, Pearl Harbor Torpedo, and Fleet Technical Support Divisions.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Surface Sonar & Combat Systems Analyst (USW Multi-Mission Helicopter Support) provides technical analysis and test and evaluation (T&E) support for Undersea Warfare (USW) Combat Systems, with emphasis on Multi-Mission Helicopter (MMH) systems, SRQ-4, Ku-band/C-band equipment, and associated aviation, communications, and combat system interfaces, for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport Detachment Pacific under the Hawaii Detachments Support Services contract.
This includes Combat System Sea Qualification Trials (CSSQT), Developmental Testing (DT), Integrated Testing (IT), and Operational Testing (OT) of U.S. Navy ships and platforms. The ideal candidate applies operations research, data analysis, modeling, and statistical methods to evaluate USW combat systems (e.g. MMH/LAMPS, SRQ-4, Ku-Band/C-Band equipment). - Conducts technical analysis, performance assessments, and data reconstruction while supporting the planning, execution, analysis, reporting, and systems engineering of surface-ship USW Combat System T&E events, including CSSQT, DT, IT, and OT events, with emphasis on Multi-Mission Helicopter (MMH) systems, SRQ-4, Ku-band/C-band equipment, and associated combat system interfaces.
- Supports test planning by evaluating ship configurations and combat system baselines, determining test requirements, developing test scenarios, and identifying the personnel, equipment, instrumentation, and other resources required for safe test execution.
- Serves as a member of the shipboard USW Combat System test team and, upon qualification, as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned MMH systems, including SRQ-4 and Ku-band/C-band equipment, overseeing scheduled tests and documenting results in accordance with approved test plans.
- Supports shipboard and at-sea test execution, including the operation, maintenance, testing, alignment, and troubleshooting of SRQ-4 and Ku-band/C-band equipment; verification of associated combat system interfaces; test instrumentation; data collection and analysis; and live-fire events in accordance with approved Navy procedures and safety requirements.
- Applies operations research techniques, statistical methods, modeling tools, and quantitative analysis to reconstruct test events and evaluate MMH system performance, equipment functionality, combat system interoperability, tactics, operational effectiveness, and mission readiness.
- Develops analytical reports, briefings, data products, findings, conclusions, and recommendations for Government stakeholders to support system performance, operational readiness, deficiency resolution, and future test requirements.
- Supports continuous improvement by reviewing and developing T&E processes, procedures, equipment, and analytical methodologies and assisting with future test requirements and the research, development, and testing of electronic systems and components.
