Environmental Supervisor

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is looking for an Environmental Supervisor to support a customer out of Maui, Hawai'i.

Assistsin the monitoring and management of environmental resources, plans and conditions by conducting field tests, inspecting accumulation points, hazmat lockers and move & prepare waste for shipping. Collect samples of soil, water, and air to detect pollution or contamination, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Additionally, help gather technical data for reports as well as respond to spills to stop or help mitigate any environmental damage and support environmental remediation projects.

Responsible for facilitating all operations and practices associated with solid waste, hazardous materials/waste, waste minimization, recycling, ensuring that the contract is compliant with all federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Essential duties & job functions would include but are not limited to:

• Assist or lead the management of environmental construction projects to ensure compliance with applicable environmental requirements, permits, and project documentation.
• Support the installation Environmental Quality Program, including compliance, conservation, pollution prevention, and environmental management planning.
• Provide environmental subject-matter expertise to fulfill Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.
• Identify environmental aspects and impacts; develop, track, and maintain corrective-action plans.
• Develop, update, and maintain environmental plans in the Tool for Environmental Management Plans (T-EMP).
• Track environmental program funding and maintain required administrative records.
• Conduct shop-level inspections, program-level compliance assessments, and annual internal self-assessments.
• Review environmental requirements for engineering, design, construction, and AF Form 813 work-order submittals.
• Review current and future mission activities for environmental permitting requirements.
• Serve as alternate liaison with regulatory agencies and internal or external audit and assessment personnel.
• Provide environmental education, awareness, and required training; document attendance.
• Maintain environmental data and records in applicable systems, including APIMS, EESOHMIS, STAR, and EASIER.
• Provide air-quality training, including Air Management Training, Air Source Operator Training, and shop-level training.
• Operate or support Hazardous Materials Pharmacy (HAZMART) functions and hazardous-material reporting requirements.
• Support Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) reporting.
• Implement and maintain the Hazardous Waste Management Plan, including waste-stream documentation, Initial Accumulation Point management, waste profiling, and EESOHMIS tracking.
• Conduct required waste-stream sampling and analysis.
• Inspect above ground storage tanks monthly and annually; document results in STAR.
• Respond to petroleum, oils, and lubricants (POL) and hazardous-substance spills, including containment, recovery, disposal, restoration, and EASIER reporting.
• Provide and document annual oil-handler training.
• Support and maintain installation environmental plans and programs, including asbestos, Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC), lead-based paint, solid waste, cultural resources, and pest management.
• Support cultural-resources program requirements and related environmental compliance actions.
• Prepare environmental coordination documents for Installation Commander signature.
