Position Summary

Responsible for providing a variety of paying and receiving functions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, teller checks, money orders, and cash advances. Responsible for assisting with the direction and administration of branch member service and new account opening. Performs most complex Teller functions as needed. Answers Member Associate’s questions, resolves more complex problems, and oversees balancing. Balances each day’s transactions and verifies cash totals.

Performs specific assigned back office duties and assists with other various duties as required. Ensures that members are promptly and professionally serviced. Provides general training and supervision of Member Associates. Ensures that all operational support functions are accurately performed in accordance with established policies and procedures as well as adherence to governmental regulations. Actively cross sells credit union services.

Salary Range Base Annual Salary Range: $42,300 ($20.33/hour) - $53,340 ($25.64/hour)

The posted range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position, with final compensation determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Thorough knowledge of Teller policies and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of credit union operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of member services and products provided.
  • At least two years of related experience in Teller Services or the equivalent.
  • Supervisory and training skills.
  • Professionally appearance, dress, and attitude.
  • Good math and typing skills.
  • Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment including adding machine, typewriter, copy machine, coin and money counting machines, and telephone.
