Full job description Overview K2 is looking for an HR Assistant who takes ownership and gets things done. This role sits at the center of civilian personnel hiring and onboarding operations supporting a DoD mission 'll be the go-to expert for hiring managers, the engine behind recruitment workflows, and the first face new employees see. THE MISSION K2 supports world-class DoD teams — and that starts with getting the right people in the door. As an HR Assistant embedded at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, you'll drive civilian personnel recruitment, onboarding, and HR operations from end to end. This isn't a back-office role. You'll be a subject matter expert and a critical link between hiring managers, HR leadership, and incoming talent.

• Pay: $71,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications — Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Familiarity with PDF document management tools such as Adobe Acrobat
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief individuals and groups
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Close attention to detail and strong follow-through on assigned tasks
• High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive personnel information

• Prior experience supporting HR functions in government, defense, higher education, or large enterprise environments
• Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent
• Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) or applicant tracking systems (ATS)
• Problem-solving mindset with flexibility to adapt to evolving requirements
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth
