Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA) HOW AN OPERATIONS RESEARCH SYSTEMS ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Our work depends on a Jr-level Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA) to provide advanced quantitative analysis and decision support to defense and security efforts within the Pacific theater. You will apply mathematical modeling, systems analysis, statistics, simulation, and operational research techniques to help optimize intelligence processes and support data driven decision-making across the Indo Pacific theater.
As a Jr-Level ORSA, you will:
- Develop and apply mathematical models, optimization techniques, and quantitative methods to enhance intelligence operations and assess alternative courses of action.
- Conduct systematic analyses of operational processes to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions grounded in empirical evidence.
- Perform statistical analysis, design experiments, and evaluate system performance to support analytic rigor.
- Apply decision analysis techniques, including risk assessment, to support strategic and operational planning under uncertainty.
- Develop and maintain metrics frameworks for Measures of Performance (MOPs), Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare detailed analytical reports, visualizations, and briefings that communicate quantitative findings to senior military and civilian leaders.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to modernization of intelligence workflows.
- Support potential shift work, crisis operations, and 24/7 situational awareness requirements as mission dictates.
