Responsibilities

Peraton requires Cloud Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM. This position is located at Camp H.M. Smith, HI. The Cloud System Administrator is a pivotal role within our IT infrastructure team, providing tier three systems support in line with the SIE OPORD.

  • Manage and administer the AWS/Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security.
  • Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements.
  • Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions.
  • Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions.
  • Develop and implement policy driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss.
  • Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized.
  • Ensure all resources components meet proper performance and capacity standards.
  • Innovate and implement new technologies to advance mission readiness.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • BS + 2 years of experience OR HS with 6 years of experience OR AA with 4 years of experience.
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification.
  • At least 2 years of relevant IT experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of AWS/Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration, and optimization.
  • Proven track record in managing production Windows Servers and implementing top-tier security practices within an enterprise environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft operating platforms and office applications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of government PAAS, SAAS coupled with advanced skills in analysis, troubleshooting, and system design. Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is a critical component of this role.
  • Demonstrated ability in performance optimization and system engineering processes.

Highly Desired

Qualifications:

  • Must be DoW 8140 under the Work Role Code 451 - System Administrator
    - Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26.
Salary

$86,000 - $138,000. Salary is determined by various factors including scope and responsibilities, experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
