Amentum is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Facilities Specialist to support warehouse, distribution, logistics, and sustainment operations (to wit: coordinating staging areas, storage space, work areas, utilities, maintenance needs, and site-support actions) in support of Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC) at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.
An excellent candidate for this position- Is a highly motivated professional capable of supporting complex logistics and facility requirements in a dynamic Indo-Pacific operating environment;
- Can operate independently while coordinating effectively with Government customers, military organizations, contractors, vendors, host-nation partners, and other stakeholders;
- Understands the importance of safe, accurate, accountable, and disciplined facility and logistics operations;
- Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills; and
- Is comfortable working in warehouse, distribution, installation, and operational environments, including exercises, contingency, and surge operations.
- Support facility readiness for logistics, sustainment, Reception, Staging, Onward Movement and Integration (RSOI), and distribution operations.
- Maintain facility condition, capacity, and availability visibility.
- Align local infrastructure, life support, and operational spaces with RSOI and distribution requirements.
- Support Joint Theater Distribution Center (JTDC) operations through reception processing, staging, onward movement, and distribution activities.
- Coordinate multimodal movement requirements and maintain in-transit visibility.
- Support inventory control and accountability activities.
- Identify facility and infrastructure constraints, risks, and readiness gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Support facility inspections, assessments, maintenance coordination, and corrective-action tracking.
- Support exercise, contingency, surge, and operational requirements.
- Develop and maintain facility assessments, SOPs, trackers, status reports, and other operational products.
- Identify opportunities to improve facility utilization, logistics throughput, readiness, and operational resilience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field;
High School Diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience may be substituted. - 5+ years of facilities, logistics, distribution, supply, installation, or operations experience.
- Experience supporting warehouse, distribution center, military installation, logistics node, or similar operations.
- Experience coordinating facility requirements, infrastructure, maintenance, staging, storage, or site-support activities.
- Familiarity with USINDOPACOM and Indo-Pacific mission priorities.
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to operate independently and effectively coordinate across Government, contractor, and mission-partner organizations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have an active Secret security clearance.
- CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
- 7+ years of facilities, logistics, distribution, or installation-support experience.
- Experience supporting USINDOPACOM, PACFLT, PACAF, MARFORPAC, USARPAC, 8th TSC, and SOCPAC.
- Experience supporting a theater distribution center, military distribution center, warehouse, or logistics node.
- Experience with RSOI, onward movement, multimodal distribution, inventory control, and/or in-transit visibility.
- Experience supporting distributed, expeditionary, contested, contingency, or surge logistics operations.
- Experience coordinating with U.S. military, host-nation, allied, or multinational organizations.
- Experience with facility readiness assessments, infrastructure coordination, maintenance management, or site activation.
- HAZMAT/MHE experience.
- Lean Six Sigma, OSHA, APICS/ASCM, or equivalent training/certification.
- Have an active Top-Secret security clearance and be SCI eligible
- Ability to work in warehouse, distribution-center, loading-dock, container-yard, and similar logistics environments.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and work in non-climate-controlled, shift, exercise, contingency, or surge environments.
- Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, push, and pull.
- Ability to safely lift/carry up to 50 pounds independently and move heavier items using MHE or team-lift procedures.
- Ability to wear required PPE.
- For OCONUS assignments, must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport and satisfy applicable visa, SOFA, country-clearance, installation-access, medical, and host-nation requirements.
