Utility Clerk SFDC)

This role is responsible for keeping the facility clean, sanitary and orderly. The Utility Clerk must be knowledgeable about sanitation and safety, use proper cleaning techniques, and develop thorough work habits. The Utility Clerk works well without supervision, paces their work to complete all assigned tasks in the allotted time, and completes cleaning schedules accurately and on time.

• Operate a walk-behind scrubber and powered pallet jacks after completing company certification;
• Assist with palletizing product;
• Organize work areas and storage;
• Clean assigned areas using brooms, dust pans, and other cleaning equipment;
• Maintain general housekeeping and sanitation standards in compliance with Company standards;
• Handle, mix, and store cleaning chemicals safely, following product labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS);
• Clean and restock restrooms and break rooms;
• Remove trash, cardboard, and recyclables from work areas;
• Complete sanitation logs and checklists as required;
• Report spills, safety hazards, damaged equipment, and pest activity to a lead or manager.
• Report to work on time and in uniform;
• Work with a positive attitude and demeanor;
• Take on new assignments with an eager and helpful demeanor.

• Any additional duties as assigned.
• Work in ambient and cold environments and handle repetitive motions or tasks as assigned.
• AM, PM, or Overnight Shifts.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, noise, and moving equipment such as pallet jacks; protective clothing and equipment required.
• Some work may be performed outdoors.

• Ability to work independently as well as with the team.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing conditions quickly.

• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, climb, drive, and stand continuously.
• Must be able to walk and stand for continuous periods of time.
• Must have sufficient vision, hearing, and speech to work safely and communicate with others.

• Able to communicate effectively with team members, leads, and management.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills when working with team members.
• Able to read and follow written instructions, safety labels, and Safety Data Sheets.
• Basic knowledge of safe cleaning practices and chemical handling (training provided).

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
• Prior food distribution, warehouse, or janitorial experience preferred.

• TB clearance required prior to start date.
