Foodland Super Market is hiring experienced Meat Cutters to join the team!
This hourly position offers a comprehensive benefits package (specifics vary based on position and classification).
Responsibilities- Ensure meat cases are well‑stocked with fresh, high‑quality meat and poultry products.
- Receive, stock, cut, grind, wrap, weigh, price, and attractively merchandise meat department products.
- Order and stock prepackaged deli items and frozen food products that fall under the meat department.
- Maintain proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize freshness and availability while minimizing waste.
- Assist customers with special requests and answer questions about meat products and services.
- Operate equipment such as meat saws, slicers, grinders, wrapping machines, and knives.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
- Successfully pass the apprenticeship/training program.
- Must have TB clearance.
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements.
- Preferred: 2 years of knife skills, grocery store environment, culinary practices, and meat cutting experience.
