Job Title: Sales Representative

Reports to: Director of Sales and Rentals

FLSA Status: Exempt

Division: HPC

Location: Waipahu

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Sales and Rentals, the Sales Representative achieves departmental sales goals through direct, personal sales contact with rental, marine, and used equipment customers.

• Develops, implements, and executes a marketing plan for an assigned customer base and geographic territory.
• Develops and expands current customer database and updates it monthly, utilizing Sales Link.
• Sells and rents new and used machinery; completes sales invoices.
• Provides financial counseling and marketing to the customer base to facilitate sales, ensuring customers are invoiced and funds are received by the Company.
• Cold calls to develop new accounts and add to database.
• Controls expenses required in sales transactions and adheres to Hawthorne guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have previous sales experience in the heavy equipment industry.
• Must have a valid Drivers License with a good driving record.
• Must have PC skills.
• Must have the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must have a positive attitude and be a self‑starter.
• Must be organized and a good planner.
• Must have the ability to set and meet goals.
