Job DescriptionThis role is part of our dynamic team which includes farmers, educators, cooks, public hosts, customer service associates, and volunteers. The work is fast‑paced, hands‑on, and involves significant public interaction on and off the farm.

- Complete hands‑on training for barista station, cashiering, stocking shelves, washing and packing produce
- Receive overview of company perks, policies and expectations
- Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)
- Minors (under 18) must provide working papers and maintain good academic standing; shifts comply with local labor laws
- Standing/walking for long periods on uneven surfaces
- Exposure to heat, cold, or wet environments
- Outdoor work and exposure to elements
- Repetitive motion such as lifting, kneeling or bending; carrying up to 50 lbs
- Master technical skills in plant propagation, harvesting, post‑harvest handling, tractor work, and field operations
- Participate in in‑field instruction and weekly discussions with farm managers
- Follow a handbook that covers weekly educational topics, including plant and soil health, irrigation, marketing, crop planning, and budgeting
- Engage with workshops, lectures, and conferences through the CRAFT program
- Complete a substantive 8‑month paid program (April–November) with the opportunity for advancement into farm leadership, management, or entrepreneurship
- Strong physical and mental work ethic with awareness of pace
- Interest in agricultural production and desire to continue a career in food or agriculture
- Willingness to learn/improve skills and knowledge base
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Ability and willingness to collaborate and work well with coworkers and the public, including occasional management
- Prior agricultural experience is not required; experience or study in food or agriculture is desirable
- Position duration:
April through Thanksgiving - Full‑time (40–50 hours/week) with one guaranteed day off per week
- Pay: $17/hour, covering paid learning and instruction time on‑farm
- Farm housing available for rent (not on‑farm but within walking/biking distance)
