• Operates roller safely on all types of terrain, observing traffic lights, patterns and congestion.
• Rolls asphalt to meet finish surface specifications, including compaction, surface smoothness and removal of lines/roller marks.
• Adjusts vibration and amplitude on vibratory roller according to different operating conditions or mixes.
• Maintains roller by cleaning spray bars and filling tank with water, checks oil and water levels.
• Checks vehicle(s) prior to driving and completes required CDL checklists.
• Follows DOT, OSHA and Company safety regulations and policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• 5 years paving experience required; knowledge of asphalt mix designs; familiarity with asphalt temperature, movement, and various finished surfaces.
• Ability to read, write and complete equipment reports.
• Valid license and favorable traffic abstract. CDL Type B with N. endorsement required.
• Ability to rake, operate the screed and see the crown and swales in the pavement
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Knowledge of applicable safety rules and regulations
• Must understand and carry out oral and written instructions
• Requires lifting and carrying equipment up to 30 pounds
• Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, nights, holidays, weekends as required by the job.
