Salary: $5,043 per month (BC-05, Step

A)

Shift work:
Applicants must be willing and able to work on rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:
The Electrician Helper assists a licensed electrician in the repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical systems and equipment.

• Two (2) years of work experience in residential and/or commercial structural wiring and in the installation, alteration, and repair of electrical equipment, wires, and apparatus; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Knowledge of basic electrical trade principles, safety procedures, and common tools, equipment, and materials used in the electrical trade.
• Ability to use hand and power tools, read and interpret sketches, simple plans, manuals, and other materials, understand oral and written instructions, and perform heavy lifting, moving, and other manual work typical of the class.
• Physical and medical requirements:
  Ability to perform essential duties safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Valid driver’s license to drive in the State of Hawaii at the time of appointment.
• SIDA clearance:
  Fingerprint‑based criminal history record check; no disqualifying convictions within 10 years.
• Legal authorization to work: U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident alien eligible for unrestricted employment in the United States.
