Job Overview
The Visitor Information Program Assistant I is responsible for greeting, welcoming, and assisting the traveling public at Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport assistant provides information to visitors to encourage travel to the Hawaiian islands and performs various clerical duties and related tasks as assigned.
ResponsibilitiesAssist passengers with flight information, directions, and general inquiries; maintain a friendly and professional environment; provide written and verbal information to encourage travel to Hawaii; and conduct clerical duties such as record keeping and data entry.
Qualifications- Basic
Experience:
Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions; a high degree of verbal skill. A high school diploma or equivalent satisfies this requirement. - General
Experience:
One (1) year of work experience that evidences patience, tact, and an even temper when dealing with others. - Driver's License:
Valid driver's license at the time of appointment. - Substitutions Allowed:

Salary: $3,266 to $4,139 per month (SR-08, Steps C-I) Level I. Shift work is required; applicants must be willing to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Security ClearanceCandidates must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance. The applicant will undergo a fingerprint‑based criminal history record check. No disqualifying convictions within ten years of the application date are permitted.
