Location: Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Halawa Correctional Facility, Hawaii
Salary: $3,606 to $4,563 per month (SR‑11, Step C to I)

Performs extensive field work and outreach functions; serves as liaison between professional staff and clients or potential clients; performs preliminary screening for continued eligibility; provides supportive services such as clerical tasks, transportation of clients, explanation of services, assists in overseeing group activities (e.g., bowling and swimming), and other related duties as assigned.

• Legal authorization to work: U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident alien, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the U.S.
• Basic education/experience:
  High school graduation or equivalent, with ability to read, comprehend, apply written directions, strong verbal skill, and basic mathematical computation abilities.
• Specialized experience:
  Three years of experience providing supportive services to social workers, vocational rehabilitation specialists, public housing managers, or similar professionals; work may include clerical tasks, transporting clients, explaining services, assisting in group activities, etc.
• Experience comparable to Social Service Aid III:
  At least one year of experience similar to Social Service Aid III in State government.
• Driver's license:
  Valid driver’s license required for some positions.
• PREA requirement:
  No engagement in sexual abuse activity as described by the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA); compliance with relevant policies.
