Overview

This posting is to fill Social Worker positions that provide services to students at various schools within the Leeward District as needed and assigned by the Leeward District Administration.

Salary

Social Worker IV, SR-22: $5,675.82 - $6,909.16 per month.

Responsibilities
  • Seek to improve the overall quality of life of students through remediation and prevention of problems.
  • Improve accessibility, accountability and coordination of service delivery among a variety of professionals and agencies involved in student services.
  • Establish working relationships of mutual respect and trust with students, families, and staff.
  • Utilize a variety of helping interventions to enable clients to function effectively.
Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirement: A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, or a doctoral degree in social work from a college or university accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges or a comparable regional accreditation body, and the ability to write clear reports and solve problems logically.

Experience Requirement: Progressively responsible professional work experience as a social worker including assessment, service planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of student services. Minimum total experience: 2 years for BSW holders, 1 year for MSW holders, and 0 years for Ph.D. holders.

Driver’s License: Some positions require a current, valid Driver’s License.
