What You'll DoAs Tax Manager, you'll serve as both a technical leader and trusted client advisor by:
- Reviewing and preparing individual, business, fiduciary, and related tax returns
- Managing a portfolio of valued client relationships
- Delivering proactive tax planning, projections, and advisory services
- Coordinating tax, accounting, and bookkeeping workflows
- Mentoring and developing accounting and tax professionals
- Reviewing staff work to ensure quality and accuracy
- Assisting with workflow management during busy season
- Researching complex tax and accounting issues
- Driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Collaborating with firm leadership on strategic initiatives
We're seeking someone who enjoys helping clients succeed, mentoring staff, and improving the way a firm operates.
Qualifications include:
- 7+ years of recent public accounting experience
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA)
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns
- Excellent client relationship skills
- Leadership and mentoring experience
- Strong organizational and communication abilities
- Experience with Ultra Tax CS, Quick Books Online, Karbon, multi‑state taxation, and modern AI‑powered workflow tools is highly desirable
$110,000 – $150,000 based on experience
