Accounting Manager

Steven Douglas is partnering on a search for an Accounting Manager with a PE-backed company holding the #2 market position in its industry ($250M+). This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys balancing technical and operational accounting, process improvement, and team leadership while working closely with executive leadership. This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the Controller, with a clear runway to Assistant Controller.

• Lead monthly close across multiple cost centers and business unit P&Ls
• Own GL/chart of accounts management in Net Suite
• Partner with the Controller on external audits, internal controls, and compliance
• Drive process improvement and AI-enabled automation initiatives
• Manage complex vendor, freight, and contract-related accounting
• Mentor and develop accounting team members

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 6+ years progressive accounting experience with leadership exposure
• Strong GAAP and month-end close expertise
• Net Suite or comparable mid-market ERP proficiency

• Direct visibility with CEO, CFO, and executive leadership
• Involvement in a major refinancing initiative over the next two years
• Lead automation and AI-driven accounting transformation
• Defined path to Assistant Controller
