The Purchasing & Asset Coordinator assists in managing the acquisition of resources and services and overseeing asset tracking for all sites managed by Charter One. This includes, but is not limited to, oversight of assets, fixed assets, business supplies, and curriculum.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinates purchases, processes purchase orders, tracks approvals, deliveries, and discrepancies.
- Asset Tracking:
Maintain a database of all company assets; conduct periodic audits. - Work closely with the Purchasing Manager to optimize resource allocation and financial stability.
- Coordinates and oversees inventory intake and distribution procedures. Helps train site-level staff on intake/distribution processes.
- Oversees inventory management system and resolves any issues regarding the description/placement of items. Provides accurate inventory count to key stakeholders and works with various departments (Academics, IT, Facilities) to determine the need for additional resources.
- Collaborates with campuses to resolve problems with inventory and orders, including missing items, shortages, and surplus materials.
- Requests quotes and places orders from vendors and assists with fulfillment of requisitions and disbursement of resources.
- Works closely with members of the Finance team to input purchase orders into the approved accounting system and sends to vendors once approved.

- Previous experience with inventory control and purchasing
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite

- Previous experience with K-12 education
- Must be able to sit for extended periods
- Will be expected to assist with inventory and curriculum intake as necessary. This may require lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly over the course of the year.
