Assistant Preschool Teacher

Heritage Children's Academy of Wake Forest is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers to support the following age group:
Preschool
.

Qualifications: A high school diploma, completion of early childhood education credentials or at least 6 credits of early childhood education courses (or equivalent), and the ability to pass all background checks. Previous childcare experience is a plus.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

Compensation: $15-$17/hr, based on education and experience.

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the program quality.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establish a professional rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work with small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
