PT Event Staff

The Renaissance Centre for the Arts is looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as part‑time Event Staff. Individuals in this role will provide hands‑on support for a wide range of cultural events, official meetings, and community celebrations. This role ensures events run smoothly while delivering excellent customer service.

Individuals fulfilling this role are responsible for working during scheduled events at the Renaissance Centre for the Arts in a support and customer service capacity.

Event Staff play a vital role in supporting the operations and guest experience at the Renaissance Centre. Duties include but are not limited to moving tables and chairs to set up and subsequently tear down various room layouts, ticket collection, concessions sales, checking coats, clearing tables, inspecting and stocking restrooms, assisting caterers, assisting performers, and most importantly providing exceptional guest service.

• Event set up and breakdown, including arranging tables, chairs, and AV equipment.
• Greeting and assisting guests, collecting tickets, checking coats, and providing general event support.
• Supporting concessions, assisting performers and caterers, and ensuring smooth backstage operations.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the facility, including lobbies, restrooms, kitchens, and event areas (tasks may include sweeping, dusting, window cleaning, and trash removal).
• Restocking supplies and inspecting common areas to ensure readiness and cleanliness throughout events.
• Performing additional duties as assigned to support the efficient and effective operation of the Renaissance Centre, but within the scope of this classification.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• A flexible schedule including nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Prior work experience in customer service preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Office and Field:
  Work may require travel from various sites and occasional exposure to inclement weather conditions.
• Odd shift hours and working on holidays.

• Essential and supplemental functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for walking, standing, and sitting for prolonged periods of time.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
