Position Summary

Sam's Club is seeking a dedicated associate to manage prepared food merchandise in the Wake Forest, NC location. This role focuses on food preparation, quality assurance, equipment maintenance, and member service.

  Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborate with cross‑functional teams and educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively with team members and be flexible to the needs of the business by working in other areas.

  :
  Prepare food according to item specifications; plan future and mass productions; prepare for seasonality; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; and demonstrate an understanding of product and layout execution.
• Be a Techie
  :
  Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, ordering merchandise, receiving club pick‑up orders, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
• Be an Owner
  :
  Drive the performance of the area; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying their needs; assist members with purchasing decisions; process payment types; locate merchandise; and resolve member issues and concerns.
• Be a Talent Ambassador
  :
  Act as a brand advocate; develop, influence, and inspire others to work in a respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented style; understand roadblocks and assist in training associates.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to successfully complete all required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

• Food Safety Certification.
• Food Service Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).

Hourly wage range: $17.00 – $25.00 per hour. Premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply when applicable criteria are met.
