Position Summary
Sam's Club is seeking a dedicated associate to manage prepared food merchandise in the Wake Forest, NC location. This role focuses on food preparation, quality assurance, equipment maintenance, and member service.
Responsibilities- Be a Team Member

Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborate with cross‑functional teams and educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively with team members and be flexible to the needs of the business by working in other areas. - Be an Expert
:
Prepare food according to item specifications; plan future and mass productions; prepare for seasonality; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; and demonstrate an understanding of product and layout execution. - Be a Techie
:
Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, ordering merchandise, receiving club pick‑up orders, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. - Be an Owner
:
Drive the performance of the area; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying their needs; assist members with purchasing decisions; process payment types; locate merchandise; and resolve member issues and concerns. - Be a Talent Ambassador
:
Act as a brand advocate; develop, influence, and inspire others to work in a respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented style; understand roadblocks and assist in training associates. - Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to successfully complete all required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.
- Food Safety Certification.
- Food Service Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
Hourly wage range: $17.00 – $25.00 per hour. Premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply when applicable criteria are met.
