The Utility Technician is a full-time position that involves a variety of functions consisting of but not limited to:

• Framing, roofing, siding, and window & door replacement/installation.
• Cabinetry and counter top replacement/installation.
• Drywall patch & repair, finish carpentry, and painting.
• General handyman repair/replacement of fixtures.
• Mitigation, restoration, and remediation of water damaged structures.

• Executing interior and exterior maintenance, repair, and improvement work orders.
• Proper coordination with Facilities teams for daily & weekly objectives.
• After hours on‑call shift duty:
  Approximately one week every 2 months, including weekend and holiday coverage.

• Complete reactive work orders for occupants in a timely manner. – 60%
• Complete preventative and/or improvement work orders as needed. – 25%
• Assist with the completion of specialty projects as needed. – 15%

• Ability to perform and/or learn basic carpentry skills involving hand and power tools.
• Ability to evaluate situations/scenarios and develop a plan of action to complete given tasks.
• Ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, the SEBTS community, and various contractor personnel.
• Ability to perform basic physical demands: walking, lifting, equipment operation.

• Must be a current SEBTS student or spouse of a SEBTS student.
• Must be at least 22 years old.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must have basic knowledge relating to the construction industry.
• Preferred: 1 year construction‑related experience.
