Job Summary
Provide bookkeeping and accounting services to clients, managing recurring client engagements, assisting with special projects, and resolving client issues as needed.
Responsibilities- Assisting multiple clients with accounting and finance functions, including financial close reporting and related support on a recurring monthly basis.
- Create and maintain client financial transaction records using Quick Books, Quick Books Online, , and Fathom.
- Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information and prepare accurate reports.
- Support audits and tax return preparation by creating schedules, gathering information, and providing analysis.
- Manage account reconciliation and month‑end close processes.
- Assist with special projects and resolve client issues.
- Collaborate with other consultants and clients for continuous improvement recommendations.
- Support professional development of team members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Experience with Quick Books, Quick Books Online, Excel, and is preferred; overall technical proficiency with accounting software is required.
- Accounting skills to generate, prepare, and review general ledger entries and other records in accordance with GAAP and other accounting bases.
- Ability to identify variances, research questions regarding financial activity, and improve accounting processes and procedures.
- Promote positive working relationships with diverse personalities and roles at all firm levels.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute work on time and within budget.
- Ability to work in office and remotely (hybrid).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- CPA preferred.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field required.
- This is an exempt position and may require working beyond a standard 40‑hour week.
Compensation range: $40.00 – $55.00 per hour for positions located in IL, MA, or CO.
