Senior Accountant – Wakefield, MA, Hybrid

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a growing company in Wakefield, MA, seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team.

This role will support month‑end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, accounts payable review, internal controls, and process improvements. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong GAAP knowledge who enjoys working in a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.

• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile account balances and maintain the general ledger
• Verify, allocate, and approve accounts payable transactions
• Prepare accounting reports and financial statements
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Develop and document accounting processes and policies
• Support internal and external audits
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns
• Partner with Finance and Accounting leadership to improve reporting and procedures
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Net Suite experience preferred
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

$55.00 – $80.00 per hour (June 25, 2026)

$45-65/hr depending on experience
