A bit about us:We are seeking a Project Accountant with a strong background in the construction industry to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our construction projects, from forecasting costs to handling requisitions. - Overseeing all financial aspects of construction projects, including but not limited to budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
- Developing detailed project forecasts and conducting regular updates to ensure accuracy.
- Handling all project requisitions, including reviewing, approving, and processing for payment.
- Collaborating with project managers to ensure all financial aspects of projects are on track and within budget.
- Providing financial analysis and recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management.
- Participating in project meetings to provide financial insights and updates.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA certification would be considered an asset.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
- Expertise in project forecasting and managing requisitions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and create meaningful reports.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- A keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- A strong understanding of financial regulations and standards in the construction industry.
