Job Description

The Marketing Technology Instructor will develop and teach a competency‑based curriculum to prepare students for entry‑level positions in marketing, communications, advertising, digital media, retail operations, and related fields. The instructor will develop, review, and revise instructional materials as necessary; evaluate student progress; and establish objectives to support maximum student learning.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum five (5) years full‑time experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, advertising, retail merchandising, graphic design, social media management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency with industry software (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Google Workspace, social media platforms, content management tools).
  • Experience in retail operations, customer service, or entrepreneurship preferred.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Marketing Technology Vocational Technical certification from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (or willingness to pursue and obtain).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and provide appropriate learning experiences within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Teach technical skills and knowledge to equip students with competence in their field.
  • Develop lesson plans and organize class time so that demonstration, instruction, hands‑on practice, review, and final activities can be accomplished within the allotted time.
  • Continuously improve instruction, curriculum, and equipment so that the CTVE area remains current with all field trends and fully prepares students for available and emerging jobs.
  • Meet and instruct assigned classes at the designated locations and times.
  • Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students’ maturity and interests.
  • Prepare for classes and provide written evidence of preparation upon request.
  • Encourage students to maintain standards of classroom behavior.
  • Guide the learning process toward curriculum goals, establishing clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects.
  • Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media.
  • Implement the district's mission, philosophy of education, instructional standards, and objectives.
  • Assess and document student accomplishments regularly and provide progress reports as required.
  • Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, and materials.
  • Attend staff and department meetings and serve on committees as required.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law and district policy.
  • Assist administration in implementing policies governing student conduct and develop classroom rules.
  • Be available to students and parents for education‑related purposes outside the instructional day when reasonably required.
  • Strive to maintain and improve professional competence appropriate to the assignment.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues and parents concerning student progress.
  • Develop positive relationships with community partners and actively solicit their help.
  • Perform other duties deemed necessary by the Superintendent/Director or designee.
Terms of Employment

184‑day work year.

Salary and Benefits: Salary in accordance with the current NTA Contract.
Pay Range: $68,052.53–$.
