SUMMARY: Wakefield Public Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated School Nurse to cover the needs of all the schools across the district with a primary location at the Woodville Elementary. This position is for 5 full days per week.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in MA
• DESE license as a School Nurse highly preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Experience in pediatric or school nursing highly desirable

• Provide comprehensive health care to students, including first aid and emergency care
• Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate records
• Conduct health screenings and assessments for vision, hearing, and developmental issues
• Develop and implement individual health care plans for students with special medical needs
• Monitor and manage communicable diseases, following public health guidelines
• Maintain student health records in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics and promote wellness programs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address student health concerns
• Participate in the development of school health policies and procedures
• Ensure the school’s health office is well equipped and maintained
• Coordinate with local healthcare providers and community resources for student referrals

REPORTS TO: Administrator of Special Education and Student Support

SALARY: Unit A salary scale ($63,302 to $119,318 Per Year)
