Wakefield Public Schools seeks an enthusiastic, student-centered Theater Arts teacher at Galvin Middle School. The ideal candidate will instruct students in foundational acting techniques with a primary goal of fostering clear, confident, and effective public speaking. The role focuses on creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students can build self-esteem, articulate ideas persuasively, and master communication skills.

• Align curriculum and instruction to the National Core Arts Standards for Theatre and the Massachusetts Arts Curriculum Framework.
• Foster empathy, clear communication, and public speaking skills through student performance, discourse, and collaboration.
• Create a differentiated and inclusive studio environment that supports the diverse creative, social, and emotional needs of all students.
• Assess and evaluate student progress in performance skills and creative expression using formative and summative measures, such as performance-based rubrics and critiques.
• Communicate effectively with parents, administration, and students regarding curriculum content, classroom expectations, and individual student growth.
• Fulfill all professional duties, including attending faculty meetings, participating in professional development, and contributing to the school community.

• Massachusetts certification in Theater Arts
• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree
• Citizenship, residency, or a work visa in the United States is required
