Knowledge and
Qualifications:
- Must have experience working with Pre-K, elementary, and/or middle school students in an academic setting or extensive experience in a camp and/or extended day program.
- Ability to work with students of varying ages and abilities in a calm and supportive manner.
- PreK staff requirement:the ability to lift children, generally up to 35-50 pounds
- High school diploma required.
Description of Duties:
- Support the students in our program with various activities, both academic and social-based.
- Actively engage students in both academic, social skills, and other fun/social-based activities.
- Assist site coordinators in preparing centers and activities for student engagement in structured and/or free play.
- Assist site coordinators prior to the start of Academic and/or Enrichment programs.
- Assist with transitioning students to different activities, schedules, as well as arrival and dismissal.
**** Preferred:
Candidates available to work Wakefield Public Schools early release days. They are scheduled for varying Fridays beginning at 12:00pm
