Summary
:
Wakefield Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable part-time
Reading Specialist at Galvin Middle School. This
role requires expertise in reading development, data-driven instruction,
and a commitment to fostering a love of reading in all students.
- Certified Reading Specialist required
- Valid DESE Reading Specialist License required
Certification in
- Provide targeted reading intervention to students identified as struggling readers through individual or small group instruction.
- Assess and monitor student progress in reading, using formal
- and informal assessment tools, and adjust instruction as needed.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support the
- implementation of literacy instruction across the curriculum.
- Design and implement individualized reading plans for students
- based on assessment data and classroom performance.
- Stay current with research and best practices in reading
- instruction and literacy development.
Salary: $31,651 - $59,659
