Summary
:
Wakefield Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable part-time
Reading Specialist at Galvin Middle School. This
role requires expertise in reading development, data-driven instruction,
and a commitment to fostering a love of reading in all students.

• Certified Reading Specialist required
• Valid DESE Reading Specialist License required
  
  Certification in

• Provide targeted reading intervention to students identified as struggling readers through individual or small group instruction.
• Assess and monitor student progress in reading, using formal
• and informal assessment tools, and adjust instruction as needed.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support the
• implementation of literacy instruction across the curriculum.
• Design and implement individualized reading plans for students
• based on assessment data and classroom performance.
• Stay current with research and best practices in reading
• instruction and literacy development.

Salary: $31,651 - $59,659
