Senior Structural Engineer – Municipal, Wastewater and Industrial Water Projects

Our Arcadis Structural Team is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (PE) with strong municipal, wastewater, and industrial water project management expertise. The role requires a subject matter expert who will provide technical leadership, guide project teams, and collaborate directly with clients. The successful candidate will also contribute to team growth by developing a client base and strengthening our presence in the region.

• Organize and conduct structural‑related engineering investigations, calculations, and planning work within a well‑defined scope.
• Lead the development of calculations, plans, specifications, requests for proposals, and other contract documents.
• Work directly with a variety of engineering disciplines, office/project staff, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project life cycle, and provide clear oral and written communication, coordinate meetings, conduct client presentations, and prepare written reports.
• Exercise judgment on work details and make preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
• Manage production of engineering and construction drawings, specifications, bid packages, and cost estimates for projects.
• Function as Engineer of Record, Task Manager, or Project Engineer on projects to manage budgets and schedules, lead deliverables, and manage plans, permit checklists, and scopes of work, and facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission.
• Mentor entry‑level and junior structural engineering staff.
• Travel may be required for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning, or overseeing construction activities.

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience, including supervision of elements related to large, complex municipal and industrial water and wastewater projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring internal teams and developing effective positive relationships with external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Functional knowledge and experience with AutoCAD/REVIT software.
• Strong structural analysis and design skills using software such as STAAD.Pro, RISA, etc.
• Excellent working knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, ACI, and AISC.

The salary range for this position is $125,000 – $150,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
