Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Credit Analyst Officer to support our growing Commercial Lending Team. The Credit Analyst Officer supports the Bank’s Commercial Lending team by analyzing financial information and credit data for new and existing commercial loan customers.

This role is critical in assessing the risk and viability of commercial lending relationships and supporting sound credit decisions that align with the Bank’s credit policies and risk management standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of commercial lending principles, and the ability to evaluate complex financial information while working collaboratively with lending officers and management.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Analyze tax returns, financial statements, cash flow analyses, and other relevant financial information to assess the creditworthiness of commercial loan applicants.
  • Prepare detailed credit memorandums and loan presentations, including recommendations for approval, modification, or denial of credit requests.
  • Assist Commercial Loan Officers in structuring credit facilities that meet customer needs while adhering to the Bank’s risk standards.
  • Complete credit presentations, annual reviews, and ongoing credit analyses for commercial loan relationships.
  • Monitor existing loan relationships for annual review requirements, covenant compliance, and risk rating evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete credit files in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal Bank policies and procedures.
  • Ensure digital credit files contain current financial statements, agency reports, call reports, and supporting documentation, and that all records are properly organized within the Bank’s document management system.
  • Review credit reports, collateral documentation, appraisals, and related information supporting commercial lending transactions.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • Completion of a formal commercial credit training program preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in commercial credit analysis and/or commercial lending.
  • Experience analyzing commercial real estate, construction, and commercial & industrial (C&I) loan relationships.
  • Experience working with loan origination systems;
    Baker Hill experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong analytical and financial statement analysis skills.
  • Excellent understanding of personal and business financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow analysis.
  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and communicate credit risks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Pay Range

$79,000 - $100,000

The salary range represents an estimate based on market data for this position. Final compensation decisions are made based on experience, skills, and internal equity to ensure fairness and consistency across our organization.
