Typical tax director duties:
Reviewing various corporate tax returns and year-end tax accruals; estimating income taxes. Conducting research and planning according to current tax laws, and advising senior management on the tax impact of current and proposed company activities and transactions.

The company is looking for a Tax Director to work in our Wakefield, MA office. Our Tax Director oversees the firm's tax policies and objectives; monitors reporting and planning to ensure compliance with applicable tax statutes; ensures accuracy of tax returns and works to minimize the organization's tax obligations; creates functional strategies and specific objectives; and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the infrastructure.

Qualifications

Essential Job Functions

• Provide tax planning and compliance services for high-net-worth individuals, estates, and trusts
• Conduct multi-state tax filings
• Perform tax accruals
• Manage a portfolio of clients
• Serve as a trusted advisor, offering clients industry expertise and knowledge
• Work closely with engagement teams to continually add value to clients
• Train and mentor tax associates

Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client relationship management skills
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Prior experience with Pro System fx Tax, BNA products, and CCH Intelliconnect is desired
• CPA certification is required
