General SummaryThe Bank Teller is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while accurately processing a variety of financial transactions. As the first point of contact for many customers, the Bank Teller plays a key role in building relationships, promoting bank products and services, and supporting the community-focused mission of the bank.
Essential Job Functions- Process routine banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and check cashing.
- Balance cash drawers and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Verify customer identities and ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding accounts, products, services, and bank policies.
- Identify customer needs and refer appropriate banking products and services to meet those needs.
- Resolve customer concerns or direct them to the appropriate department for assistance.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of customer information.
- Participate in branch operations and support team goals.
- Required to participate in trainings and comply with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as Federal and State banking laws and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6+ months of experience with customer service, preferably including cash handling.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Desire to work collaboratively, as part of a branch team.
Monday - Friday 10 a.m.
- 1:00 p.m., Saturday 8:15 - 12:15
The hourly pay rate starts at $19.75/hour. The hourly rate represents an estimate based on market data for this position. Final compensation decisions are made based on experience, skills, and internal equity to ensure fairness and consistency across our organization.
