SummaryThe Direct Support Professional will provide support and assistance to people with developmental, physical and psychiatric disabilities as needed based on the needs of the residential program assigned. The Direct Support Professional will provide support to people in our services who need daily intervention, supervision and skills training in activities of daily living while managing within a home environment and in the community.
People in our services may require physical assistance or accommodation. Staff will receive and must pass specialized training to provide enhanced supervision or interventions designed to address multiple disabilities which may include behavioral support or enhanced medical care. Staff may be required to have specialized certifications; be credentialed or trained in specialized areas such as PABC or ABA techniques; and/or have advanced training in areas such as autism, behavioral support and/or healthcare.

- Wednesday 11:00pm-9:00am (40 hours per week)
- High school diploma or GED or at least 5+ years of verified experience in the same position is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
The physical demands of employees working in residential programs assisting people with their care needs are varied and require the employee to be able to maneuver people of varying weights, and provide lifting, balanced support and physical intervention in a few scenarios.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to:
- Climb stairs, physically assist people served, often weighing more than 200 pounds, with movement, bathroom routines including toileting, assisting with entry and exit of a tub or shower, getting into and out of wheelchairs or dealing with assists that include physical, behavioral and medical interventions.
- Additional lifting or moving may be required as part of activities in the daily living of people in our services.
