Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students in a dynamic school-based environment near Wakefield, MA. This opportunity calls for a dedicated occupational therapy professional to provide services to a diverse caseload of middle and high school students. With approximately 8 hours per week, schedules are adaptable and can be distributed over two days, accommodating your other commitments while ensuring continuity of care for students.
WhatYoull Bring:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school settings
- Knowledge of best practices for delivering individual and small-group OT services
- Familiarity with middle and high school student needs
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility to adapt caseloads and approaches as student needs evolve
- Deliver direct occupational therapy sessions, approximately 30 minutes each, for about 8 students
- Collaborate on scheduling days and times are flexible to fit your availability
- Provide services addressing fine motor, sensory processing, and functional school participation
- Prepare and update IEP documentation and progress reports
- Participate in student evaluations including an upcoming reevaluation and adjust to potential caseload changes
- Communicate with staff and families regarding student needs and progress
