Retail Operations Team Member

General Summary

Our Sales Associates are responsible for the proper and efficient operation of the station during their shift, within company policy. This includes ensuring that the shift contributes to increased profitability and growth of the store and ensuring our customer’s needs are met every step of the way. We empower our employees and team members to step outside the box to ensure we offer the best in‑class service to all of our customers each and every day.

• Work a flexible schedule as needed.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with various management on store operations and any changes that may adversely affect the store’s operations.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Prepare a shift report at the end of the shift as per company guidelines.
• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Provide the best customer experience: greet each customer with a smile and sincere greeting, suggest possible purchases and promote specials, and assume full responsibility for the execution of our customer service program at the site level.
• Maintain safety and station appearance: minimize safety risks to employees, customers and suppliers; enforce environmental and hazardous material regulations; maintain safety and security of the store and document any incidents; manage the customer environment inside and around the perimeter of the store; operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently; support implementation of the Safety and Health program; promptly report workplace accidents, injuries, incidents or illnesses;
  
  complete the new employee safety orientation procedure.

• Read, understand, and write the English language at the eighth‑grade level.
• Perform arithmetic calculations at the eighth‑grade level to make change, complete shift reports, and account for a variety of products during vendor check‑in.
• Validate identification prior to selling tobacco and/or alcohol as required by regulations.
• Lift up to 30 pounds and carry cases of milk cartons, soft drinks, beer and juice containers through proper lifting techniques.
• Remain calm and respond according to policies and procedures in any emergency.
• Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products; work in various temperature environments (coolers, outside in weather conditions, and in the store).
• Perform general housekeeping duties as needed.
• Be 18 years of age or older.

• Ensure physical maintenance, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of all store facilities.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Traverse and access all areas of the store.
• Engage in prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Engage in prolonged periods of standing.

Starting Rate: $17.00.
