Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people?
Leader Health and Social Care are currently recruiting Children s Residential Support Workers to join our growing team across West Yorkshire.
You will be working in small, nurturing residential homes supporting children and young people aged 8 17 years who may present with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, challenging behaviours, or complex backgrounds.
Your Role:
- Provide day-to-day care, emotional support, and guidance to children in placement
- Encourage positive routines, education, and healthy relationships
- Support young people in line with their individual care plans
- Maintain professional boundaries and promote a safe, stable environment
- Complete daily logs and reports in accordance with Ofsted and company standards
- Work collaboratively with senior staff, social workers, and other professionals
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months of recent experience supporting children or young people in a residential or similar setting (essential)
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) desirable but not essential
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle preferred
- A genuine passion for supporting children to reach their full potential
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional under pressure
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts including long days, nights, and sleep-ins
- Full UK Driving Licence would be advantageous
