Mig Welder

My client in the LS2 area are looking for a skilled Welders.

The successful candidate will perform welding on materials including nickel base and exotic alloys in addition to carbon, stainless, duplex and super-austenitic materials according to customer requirements.

• Proven and demonstrable welding experience in both Mild Steel and Stainless Steel (candidates will undertake a weld test).
• Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
• MMA (stick) welding to a high standard
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (HF grinders, squares, callipers etc.)
• A hands‑on and practical attitude
• Excellent attention to detail - must be able to work carefully and accurately
• Ability to work well as part of a team and good communication skills
• Hard working, enthusiastic with good timekeeping
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use PPE (face-shield, gloves etc.)

• Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
• Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
• Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)

• Professional Welding Certification (e.g. ASME IX)
• FLT Licence (preferred but not essential)
