This Budget Analyst position with the Washington County Department of Social Services provides professional fiscal management for the local DSS office, overseeing $1.6M in funds across Adult, Child and Family Services. The role manages budget analysis, accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls to support the Department of Human Services' mission in Maryland.
Key qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by three credit hours in auditing
- Two years of experience examining, analyzing and interpreting accounting systems, records and reports using generally accepted accounting principles
- One year of experience preparing and/or overseeing a budget
- One year of specialized experience conducting internal or external financial audits
- One year experience preparing accounting and compliance reports
