OverviewEngineer II/III - Civil Design/Land Development — Full Time Professional, Waldorf, MD, US
Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $95,000.00 Annually
The Site / Civil Engineer III/Engineer II or III will work in a team-oriented environment on a variety of civil engineering design functions in support of major projects in the region. The candidate should be career-driven, technically proficient, and adaptable to a wide variety of project types and sizes.
Experience and proficiency in design software and related tools are important. The work requires strong capabilities in Micro Station / AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with software programs such as TR-55, TR-20, HEC-RAS, XP-SWM, Hydroflow, KY-Pipe, Water Cad is preferred but not required.
Previous design experience with site / civil projects in the Washington DC Metro area is preferred.
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of civil engineering design functions in support of major projects in the region.
- Prepare graphics, exhibits, and site / civil construction plans.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers, sub consultants, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Mentor and train other civil engineering design staff as needed.
- BS degree in Civil Engineering
- 4-5+ years of progressive experience directly related to site / civil engineering design and construction of land development projects in the Washington DC Metro area (specific experience in Charles County or Prince George’s County is a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to meet project and client deadlines
- Ability to work efficiently to meet project budgets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
