The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive direct patient care, develops and evaluates nursing care plans, administers medications, and supervises clinical support staff in accordance with the Maryland Nurse Practice Act.
Perform patient assessments, monitor clinical conditions, and interpret diagnostic results.
Formulate, implement, and adjust individualized nursing care plans.
Administer prescribed oral, IV, and subcutaneous medications and clinical treatments.
Direct and delegate tasks to LPNs, CNAs, and other assistive personnel.
Educate patients and family members regarding disease management and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). - Licensure:
Active Registered Nurse license from the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) or a valid Multi-State Compact RN License. - Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) required;
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred depending on unit. - Experience:
1+ years of acute care or relevant clinical nursing experience preferred (new graduates welcome in residency programs).
