Job Summary

• Base pay: $10,400 per year
• Training pay: $20 per hour for 2–6 weeks (no commission)
• Commission: uncapped on sales (6% on La‑Z‑Boy Design Sales, 4% on other sales)
• Monthly bonus opportunity up to $1,500 based on store sales goals
• Average earning potential after training: $60,000 – $80,000+ (inclusive of base, commission and bonus)
• Top performers can earn $60K+ annually
• Base pay plus commissions will meet minimum wage requirements

• Achieve or surpass store and individual sales goals, annual operating benchmarks, and personal objectives.
• Promote the in‑home design program.
• Champion and role‑model the selling process by overseeing floor interactions and evaluating team performance.
• Provide coaching, training, and support to sales teams.
• Ensure staff deliver exceptional customer service and build long‑term relationships.
• Build a motivated and cohesive team by recognizing achievements, addressing concerns, and fostering a positive work environment.
• Recruit, train, and mentor staff.
• Ensure the store consistently reflects the company brand image, values, and customer experience standards.
• Support company‑wide marketing initiatives and promotions.
• Resolve customer concerns and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
• Collaborate with support teams to ensure flawless operational execution.
• Ensure proper execution of all existing and new systems and administrative procedures.
• Uphold brand visual standards in the store, ensuring cleanliness in employee and customer areas.

This position holds significant influence over the store’s financial health, team morale and development, operational efficiency, and overall customer experience and reputation in the community.

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1–3 years of retail sales experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• Financial understanding, interpersonal communication, analytical abilities, goal orientation, team management, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work the schedule and hours dictated by business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Experience managing a retail environment with a strong focus on sales.
• Strong business acumen.
• Advanced interpersonal, communication skills and experience building effective relationships.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Nearly continuous use of repetitive hand motions, hearing and listening.
• Often required to sit, walk, bend and stoop.
• Subject to indoor environmental conditions.
• Ability to pass background and drug screen.
