Loudoun Stairs is seeking a full-time Skilled Carpentry Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for completing assigned stair and rail repairs, production installations, and assisting the Renovations Team as needed.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of woodworking and stair and rail systems, can identify and resolve repair issues, and takes pride in completing quality work that meets applicable building codes. This position works directly with Construction Managers, homeowners, subcontractors, and other team members, so professional communication and customer service are important.
Pay: $25–$28 per hour

Work Location: In person
Responsibilities- Travel to assigned jobs and complete scheduled stair and rail repairs or installations.
- Perform repair and installation work as directed by the Customer Service Manager.
- Communicate with the Customer Service Manager regarding schedules and unforeseen project delays.
- Work with customers, subcontractors, and supervisors to help resolve quality issues.
- Maintain company tools and report damaged tools or additional equipment needs.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and complete required maintenance logs.
- Complete job-related paperwork accurately.
- Deliver materials to jobsites when requested.
- Minimum of 2 years of construction experience required.
- Understanding of woodworking and stair and rail systems.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Experience using hand tools, battery-powered and AC-powered saws, and other woodworking tools.
- Knowledge of wood finishing, including sanding, staining, and clear coating.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for addressing repair issues.
- Knowledge of applicable building and construction codes in DC, MD, PA, VA, and WV.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Ability to perform hands-on woodworking tasks and meet the physical requirements of the position.
Candidates must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with the ability to lift heavier materials when required by the job. This position also requires extended periods of standing, walking, driving, and sitting, as well as bending, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and climbing stairs or ladders. Work may take place in outdoor, hot, cold, or noisy environments.
