Software Engineer, Python, Full Stack Developer
Job Summary
We are seeking a Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, including processing-intensive analytics, large data set manipulation, real-time systems, and business management information systems.
Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements.
- Work individually or as part of a team; review and test components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
- Resolve software problem reports.
- Utilize appropriate software development and design methodologies.
- Provide input into system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS, and requirement analysis from system level to component level.
A current Top-Secret/SCI security clearance with polygraph within seven (7) years is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a new clearance under this position.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Alternatively, four (4) years of Software Engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for the degree.
- No demonstrated experience is required before qualification (subject to the above educational or experience requirement).
- Proficiency working in Linux development environments.
- Basic understanding of software, including exposure to various languages (C/C++, Python, etc.).
- Experience with Git, Git Lab, IDEs (e.g., VSCode, Eclipse).
- Agile framework experience (Scrum, etc.).
- Experience with geospatial processing.
- Experience coding 2D and 3D image displays.
- Experience with Git Lab, Git Hub, or similar version control tools.
- Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools.
