Material Handler# Material Handler Hot Job Fredrick, MD 21704## Overview Salary Range $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly Level Experienced Position  Type Full Time Job Shift Day Travel  Percentage None Category Warehouse ## Description The Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of inventory throughout the Distribution Center. This role supports receiving, storage, order fulfillment, inventory control, loading, unloading, and general warehouse operations while maintaining safety, quality, and customer service standards.
** ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
** The duties include, but are not limited to:
* Pull, stage, verify, and prepare orders accurately
* Load and unload inbound and outbound freight safely and accurately
* Receive and process shipments and verify quantities and product accuracy
* Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment safely
* Move, store, rotate, and organize inventory
* Use inventory scanners, warehouse systems and other technology to manage accurate inventory accuracy
* Support add-on orders, special orders, and time-sensitive deliveries
* Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory
* Report inventory discrepancies, damaged product, and safety concerns
* Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
* Assist in routine care, cleaning and upkeep of machinery within Distribution Warehouse
* Provide excellent internal customer service
* Provide administrative support to Distribution Center Management, as needed
* Other duties as assigned## Qualifications

*** Knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations
* Strong inventory accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely
* Basic computer and inventory system proficiency
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to adapt to changing operational priorities
** QUALIFICATIONS*
* * High school degree, or equivalent
* 2+ years of warehouse/distribution experience preferred
* Forklift and warehouse equipment experience
** PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
*** Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday
* Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
* Ability to safely operate material handling equipment
** WORK ENVIRONMENT
*** Warehouse and distribution center environment
* Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions during loading/unloading activities
* Frequent interaction with drivers, warehouse personnel, and other departments
* Fast-paced operational environment with changing priorities
