Health Insurance, PTO, 401(k) About the Job We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to work out of our Waldwick, NJ office. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction sites, including managing self-perform work, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring project quality and safety, adhering to project schedules, and resolving issues that arise during construction. The Superintendent will also maintain compliance with building codes and regulations and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities Prepare agendas for weekly subcontractor meetings. Develop and manage detailed construction schedules prepared by the Project Manager. Monitor project progress against schedules and budgets. Coordinate deliveries of materials and equipment. Conduct regular site inspections and inspect subcontractor work to ensure quality standards are met.

Conduct daily site safety meetings and toolbox talks while ensuring documentation compliance. Lead and supervise on-site construction crews, including foremen and subcontractors. Coordinate construction activities with other site superintendents. Manage the daily activities of field laborers and punch-list laborers. Maintain detailed daily logs and progress reports. Communicate effectively with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Ensure all project requirements are met.

Serve as the principal point of contact for multiple construction projects and ensure deadlines are met. Identify and address potential issues promptly. Ensure all workers have proper safety equipment and training. Software and project management tools. Must be available to work weekends. Compensation & Benefits $150,000-$200,000 salary Health Insurance PTO 401(k) Qualifications 10+ years of experience working as a Construction Superintendent.

Proven experience with ground-up vertical construction, including residential, commercial, and public work, with strong field experience.

Experience with self-perform work, preferably including site work. Minimum of 30 hours of OSHA training. Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project details. Deep understanding of construction methods and building codes. Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle unexpected challenges. Proficiency with construction scheduling software and project management tools.
