We are seeking a Vocal Teacher who positively embodies "rock and roll" and is dedicated to creating a valuable student experience that helps our students learn music and performance skills. As a Vocal Instructor, you are responsible for all music education-related elements within lessons and rehearsals, ensuring students are both challenged and inspired.
- Music Instruction:
Maximize the quality of private lessons and shows. Ensure students learn the fundamentals of music (theory, technique, health), not just songs. - Lesson Planning:
Create and document thoughtful lesson plans tailored to each student’s journey. - Customer Connection:
Act as a brand ambassador by communicating regularly with parents on student progress. Be a visible, accessible, and positive presence in the school. - Team Support:
Pitch in during rehearsals, and help execute the overall program while adhering to our safety and supervision policies.
- Professional Pedigree: 3+ years of experience teaching and/or performing music professionally. (Ideal candidates have formal music school training and are active working musicians).
- Technical Knowledge:
Strong grasp of music theory and curriculum design. - Soft Skills:
You are enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and handle a busy environment - Local Connection:
Must live in Northern NJ for a reliable commute to Waldwick.
- Availability:
Shifts are available during the following times: - Monday – Thursday: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Fridays: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Occasional Saturday show dates.
- Commitment:
Candidates must be able to commit to working at least 2 days per week. - Starting Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
